Things to Do

Take in the Sights

Kauai is Hawaii's fourth largest island, referred to as the "Garden Island." The island is lush with greenery and has incredible waterfalls, rainforests, rivers, and mountains. You can’t go wrong when exploring Kauai!

Below are a few recommendations on what to do.

Nā Pali Coast State Wilderness Park

The Nāpali Coast is a must-see! These gorgeous cliffs have razor-sharp ridges that tower over the ocean and beautiful beaches and waterfalls are scattered along the valley floor.

There are many ways to explore the Nāpali Coast, but the best views are by sea or air. Book a boat or helicopter tour to check out the views. I can personally vouch for the boat ride. It's amazing.

Fun Fact: Parts of Jurassic Park were filmed here.

Waimea Canyon State Park

Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, this scenic state park overlooks the colorful Waimea Canyon, which stretches over 14 miles and is more than 3,600 feet deep. It’s best to visit earlier in the morning for fewer crowds and better visibility. You might even spot a rainbow!

Wailua Falls

Wailua Falls, just north of Līhue, is a step off the beaten path. Wailua Falls can be seen from the roadside. If you visit in the mornings, you may see a rainbow as the sunlight meets the mist of the falls!

Spouting Horn Park

The Spouting Horn is a blowhole where the surf moves into a natural lava tube and releases a huge spout of water that can reach as high as 50 feet into the air. Easy to get to and fun to see!
